Bethany House has been blessed in ways that we never saw coming, and we have frequently witnessed provision come before we even speak the need. This has come through grants to fund our staff and generous individuals in our community showing up with toilet paper the very same day that our residents take the last roll to put in their bathroom.
As the African proverb states, it takes a village to support our girls. We are thankful for the provision of our current village and would love for you to join us in this mission!
On December 1st, the funding source that pays for our two, full-time case managers will be depleted. We are praying and trusting that this funding will be replaced so we can continue to provide these much-needed services in our community.

Make an impact today
Support our mission by contributing monetarily through Zeffy.
Bethany House utilizes Zeffy in order to cut down on the cost of transferring funds that are incurred through the use of other electronic transfer services. Consider giving by way of the Zeffy form embedded in this website, or you can mail a check made out to Bethany House of Cumberland County Inc. to our office.
Below are additional ways you can get involved in what is happening at Bethany House!
Gift Cards
As we strive to meet the needs of our residents and clients, this often involves financial assistance. We are entirely community funded, and as a result, there are times that our capacity to provide financial assistance is limited. Gift cards provided help to ease the burden of meeting all of our girls needs, and the gift of experiential gift cards allows us to build relationships while doing fun activities. Some of the main gift cards that are helpful to our ministry are to:
Grocery Stores
Department Stores
Experiences (i.e. Sports Emporium, Board & Brush, Hershey Park, Knoebels…)
Your Time
We are always excited to welcome others to be an active part of the life change that happens at Bethany House. Below are opportunities that are available for our volunteers to get involved.
assist with transportation for our residents to attend work and appointments
assist with projects around our properties
attend our weekly “Family Night” and make a meal or help teach a life skill
If you are interested in learning more about these opportunities, please email Amy at bhdirector@outlook.com.
Amazon Wish List
When we welcome a new resident to our program, we ensure that they receive new bedding, new towels, and a small basket of items in order to help them feel that they are wanted and valuable. These items stay on our wishlist, as well as a variety of household cleaning supplies and paper products that we, like any household, are often in need of. These in-kind donations help to minimize the overhead cost of running our two homes, and allow for our funds to meet the various other needs of our residents and clients.
